Dog Day Fridays for May 5

Posted: Updated:

This week's dogs are up for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. Their phone number is (516) 785-5220.

Frisby a 1-year-old adorable low rider. He came to the shelter as a stray, and is now looking for his forever home. Frisby is very friendly with other dogs, and is also all around sweet and playful. He does get a little hyper at times, so he'll need a savvy home, able to dedicate a little time to some training. Frisby is a stunning boy, and is guaranteed to not only be an amazing companion, but to turn lots of heads too. Frisby is approved to go home with kids over 17 years old.

Queenie is a 3-year-old brindle beauty. She came to the shelter as a stray after being tied up to a construction site and abandoned. Queenie was not fazed by the ordeal. This beauty already knows the commands sit and down. She is playful with toys and friendly with people. Queenie is super playful and social with dogs.

Scotty is all kinds of awesome. This handsome 4-year-old boy originally came into the shelter in 2015 as a stray. He was reclaimed by his owner, only to turn up again as a stray in November 2016. Poor Scotty deserves a loving home, and a family who is going to love and cherish him forever. Scotty is playful with other dogs and loving with people. He is sure to make an incredible companion to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
