WOODBURY -

A new report says some changes could save tens of thousands of lives on Long Island's roads.

AAA recommends adding guardrails on Northern and Southern State Parkway overpasses.

It also says big intersections should be converted into traffic circles, and calls for more sidewalks and pedestrian crossings with traffic signals.

AAA says the changes could save more than 63,000 lives in 20 years.
