Bald eagles nesting on Great Neck South HS campus

A pair of bald eagles is nesting on the grounds of a North Shore school.

The bald eagles were spotted nesting in a tree on the campus of Great Neck South High School.

The district says the nest popped up about three weeks ago.

Because it is breeding season, everyone must stay at least 330 feet away from the birds, as per U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service guidelines.
