At least three families were displaced after an early morning fire destroyed a house in Brentwood.

Fire officials say the fire broke out in the basement of the home on Bushwick Avenue just after 1 a.m.

According to the East Brentwood fire chief, between 14-17 people lived in the home that was divided into several apartments.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The Red Cross is now trying to find the families places to live.
