Woman dies after crash on William Floyd Pkwy. in Shirley

A Shirley woman was killed in a crash at a William Floyd Parkway intersection in Shirley.



Police say Robert Macioce, 65, was driving a Toyota sedan on Dawn Drive when he crashed into a truck on William Floyd Parkway.



Macioce and his mother Johanna Macioce, 89, were taken to Brookhaven Hospital Medical Center. Johanna Macioce died of her injuries. Robert Macioce injured his leg.



The truck's four occupants were not injured.



The crash closed part of the William Floyd Parkway for hours.
