Police: Drunken driver found with heroin, pills

Police say a man who was arrested for allegedly driving drunk was found with heroin and oxycodone pills.



Alan Sadowsky, 51, of East Meadow, was pulled over on Franklin Avenue in the Town of Hempstead around 3 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrested him for driving while intoxicated.



After he was placed under arrest, officers say Sadowsky was found to possess heroin and oxycodone pills.



Sadowsky was also driving with a suspended license following a recent arrest for allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs.



Sadowsky is facing multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
