MONTAUK -

Officials say the Coast Guard was called in to rescue a man 65 miles off the coast of Montauk.

The Coast Guard's Jayhawk chopper flew in from Cape Cod Friday and airlifted the 47-year-old off of a fishing vessel.

Officials say the man was suffering from flu-like symptoms and was in and out of consciousness.

The Coast Guard brought the man back to its air station for medical treatment.
