Christine Insinga has been a staff reporter for News 12 Long Island since 2003. Insinga's everyday duties have taken her to the trials of Daniel Pelosi, the electrician convicted of killing East Hampton millionaire Ted Ammon; Martin Heidgen, the Wrong Way Driver on the Meadowbrook Parkway and Lamont Pride the man convicted of murdering NYPD officer Peter Figoski, of North Babylon.

From Long Beach to Lindenhurst, Insinga has also found and told the stories of dozens of victims of Superstorm Sandy and continues to follow their recovery efforts.

Insinga is a recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award and an Associated Press Award for her work on the 2009 series "Heroin: Addicted on Long Island." She was also nominated for a New York Emmy Award in 2010 for Crime Programming- based on her part in the series Taking Back Our Streets- that focused on LI's gang problem.

Insinga currently lives in Suffolk County- where she loves boating - hanging out at the beach with her family and riding her bike all across LI!
