Police: Man fatally shot outside Bridgeport restaurant
A man was pronounced dead after an early morning shooting in Bridgeport, authorities say.
Police say that 33-year-old Max Antoine, of Stamford, was shot around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Antoine was at Tiago's Bar and Grille with friends Wednesday night. Police say he was shot at least once in the torso and collapsed across the street from the restaurant in McLevy Green.
Capt. Brian Fitzgerald says Antoine was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We interviewed some witnesses last night, recovered some evidence from the scene and spoke with a lot of family members who arrived at the scene,” says Fitzgerald.
Police say several shots were fired and witnesses tell News 12 they saw two people fleeing the scene immediately afterward.
If anyone has any information they are urged to call the Bridgeport police at 203-576-TIPS.
