Elmont man accused of downloading child porn

ELMONT -

An Elmont man will face a judge and is accused of having thousands of images of child pornography.

According to detectives, after an investigation from December 2016 through March 2017, several thousand images and videos of child pornography were downloaded to Julio Aracena's home computer.

Detectives say Aracena, 32, was placed under arrest at his employment in Farmingdale on Tuesday.

Aracena is being charged with four counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and four counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
