Father, son accused of assaulting 2 officers
Police say a father and son are facing charges after assaulting two police officers in Manorhaven.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for an assault at a home on Marwood Road South around 6:30 p.m. last night.
Police say when officers arrived, Edgar Monroy, 59, repeatedly started punching one officer.
After Monroy was handcuffed, police say his 23-year-old son Joel allegedly punched two officers and a Nassau ambulance medical technician.
The officers and AMT were treated for injuries to their arms, neck and backs.
