A man has died following a car crash Sunday morning in Brookhaven.
Police say Orlando Heinecker lost control of his vehicle while driving on Montauk Highway and hit another vehicle. The Bellport man was ejected from his car and later pronounced dead.
While investigating, police say the driver he hit, Kimberly Michiels, was driving while intoxicated. She was arrested on DWI charges.
Police say that Michiels did not cause the fatal crash.
Investigators are asking any witnesses to come forward and call the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555.
