Car vandalized at LIRR Ronkonkoma station

Police say thieves have been targeting a vehicle at the LIRR station in Ronkonkoma.

According to police, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in the station's lot last Wednesday.

Mark Pohl, of Rocky Point, says it did not take him long to realize his car had been targeted. Pohl shelled out $1,800 to replace it, but less than a week later he returned from the city to realize it had happened again.

Catalytic converters are worth a lot mainly because of the metals they are made of.

Police are investigating.
