Man pleads not guilty to Smith Haven Mall ATM theft
A Glen Cove man pleaded not guilty today to charges that he stole a Smith Haven Mall ATM with a stolen dump truck.
As News 12 Long Island has reported, the dump truck left a big hole in front of Macy's in Lake Grove on Dec. 30.
The ATM was recovered along with the dump truck, which was stolen from a Coram cemetery.
Garret Landry, 26, was indicted by a grand jury on a slew of charges, including grand larceny.
The Suffolk District Attorney's Office says the landscaper complained he fell on "hard times," blaming competition from immigrant labor.
