According to police, Campbell was hit by a driver on the same street she lived. Campbell was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Campbell was a mother to four kids and also a grandmother, her sister told News 12.
Police say the car they're looking for has front-end damage and took off toward Straight Path while getting away. They say the vehicle is a small to mid-size sedan.
Authorities say they are reviewing surveillance footage from homes and businesses in the area in an effort to identify a suspect.
