Investigators say the two men have targeted gas stations and doughnut shops throughout Suffolk over the past few weeks. In each of the robberies, police say the suspects were armed with a black handgun and escaped with cash.
According to investigators, the most recent incidents involved a single male, described as standing at a medium to tall height. He was dressed in a black jacket, black pants and a black hoodie, and wore a black ski mask. In earlier robberies, police say he was accompanied by a second masked male suspect with a shorter build, who wore a sweat suit.
Investigators say the suspect or suspects struck at locations on the following dates: Deer Park on Dec. 22, West Hills on Dec. 25, St. James on Dec. 26, Smithtown on Dec. 29, Commack on Dec. 29, Deer Park on Jan. 1, Huntington Station on Jan. 2, Holbook on Jan. 3, Bohemia on Jan. 5, Farmingville on Jan. 7, and Sayville on Jan. 8.
Police say they are not releasing photos or videos of the suspects at this time due to the ongoing investigation. Police have also not named the businesses that were targeted in the robberies.
A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the suspects' arrests.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
