Report: High levels of toxins found at vets' housing
Officials say new tests at Veterans Way in Islandia show eight chemicals that can cause cancer have exceeded state guidelines, according to Newsday. 
Earlier tests on soil at the complex built for veterans showed chemical levels were below state standards. 
Investigators have arrested six people in the Veterans Way investigation, including Thomas Datre Jr. and Thomas Datre Sr. as part of Islip's illegal dumping probe.
