The retired NYPD officer who admitted to killing a teenage girl in a hit-and-run crash is expected to be sentenced Monday.
As News 12 has reported, Michael Elardo, of Syosset, fatally struck 13-year-old Bryanna Soplin on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown and then left the scene.
Soplin, a special needs child, was trying to walk to her grandparents' house when she was struck back in June.
Elardo faces 1 1/3 to four years in prison when is he sentenced after pleading guilty in the case.
