James Hober, of Holbrook, accused of DWI in Sunrise Highway crash that injured woman

A Holbrook man is accused of driving while intoxicated and causing a serious crash on Sunrise Highway.



Police say James Hober rear-ended a minivan on the highway Sunday morning near Locust Avenue in Bohemia.



The minivan overturned, seriously injuring a female passenger inside who has been identified as JoAnne Barbato, 49. The driver of the minivan, 51-year-old Richard Mascia, suffered minor injuries.



Hober, 59, wasn't hurt. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated.



Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Fifth Squad Detectives at 631-854-8552.
