A new study has found that the voice command systems in many cars can sometimes do more harm than good.
The AAA study, led by David Strayer of the University of Utah, compared voice-activated technologies in various cars and examined the level of distraction drivers faced while using them.
The study concluded that the greatest level of distraction occurs when a system gets commands wrong because it causes the driver to become frustrated.
Robert Sinclair, of AAA, says the bottom line is that there is bound to be some element of distraction if you use voice-activated technologies.
