Nassau police officers participate in narcotics training event with help from DEA agent

Nassau police held a narcotics training event today.



Over 100 Nassau and local village officers got the latest information on designer drugs, heroin and other opiates.



The training was also aimed at making sure officers understand what goes on in the mind of an addict.



The DEA's top drug agent was on hand during the training. He said narcotics trafficking is taking a new turn, and can involve medical facilities and personnel.
