Construction is back on track for a new Islamic Center on Nassau's North Shore. The new Hillside Islamic Center is being built on Hillside Avenue just opposite the New Hyde Park Stop and Shop.

Construction is back on track for a new Islamic Center on Nassau's North Shore.
The new Hillside Islamic Center is being built on Hillside Avenue just opposite the New Hyde Park Stop and Shop.
According to Newsday, construction ran into a hitch last October when town inspectors found a problem with the steel frame.
Work has resumed, and it is expected to take a year to complete the center.
