Man shot in the chest in Hempstead drive-by
Police say a man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Hempstead Sunday.
A gunman in a dark-colored car fired several shots on Stewart Street in the afternoon. A 21-year-old man was struck once in the chest, but survived. His current condition is unknown.
Another bullet struck a nearby home, but no one inside was injured.
Police are searching for the shooter.
