Jeter fever has hit Long Island as fans lined up to get their hands on anything that symbolizes the Yankees great.
Fans have been buying shirts, hats, DVDs and many other items at stores like Modell's in East Meadow.
Pat Demarinis made the trip from Tampa, Florida for the game He was busy buying Jeter stuff before heading to the game with his daughter.
The Yankees captain is so well liked that one little boy, who is a Mets fan, bought a Derek Jeter shirt.
