LIRR running extra trains for Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah begins tonight and the Long Island Railroad is providing some extra trains to help riders get home.
The additional trains will run on the Babylon, Port Jefferson, Port Washington and Far Rockaway branches.
The Jewish new year begins at sundown.

Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and ushers in the High Holy Days which end with Yom Kippur.
