Stabbing victim crashes car; rescuers pull him from burning car

Police say a stabbing victim escaped from his attacker only to crash his car, which then burst into flames.

Police say Brian Harris was stabbed during a fight Saturday night on Knickerbocker Avenue in Holbrook. He managed to drive to Vets Highway.

Police say Harris hit a guardrail and then his car burst into flames.

A firefighter and the firefighter's brother pulled Harris to safety.

Frank Redd, of Bohemia, will be charged with assault as Harris recovers from the stabbing.
