Billy Joel, Gov. Andrew Cuomo take part in annual beach cleanup in Oyster Bay

The 'Piano Man' lent a helping hand today as volunteers worked to clean up a beach in Oyster Bay.

Billy Joel was joined by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to participate in International Beach Cleanup Day. As they did last year, the two helped tidy up the harbor and beach at Theodore Memorial Park.

Cuomo and Joel went out on a boat to help clean the water, while dozens of volunteers picked up trash along the beach.

"I live here," said Joel. "Its important to me that the quality of the water is maintained and that it's a viable entity."
