Wayne McKay accused of stealing from donation boxes at 4 Nassau churches

A man is accused of stealing from four different Nassau churches on five different occasions.
Wayne McKay, 57, of Manhattan, was arrested yesterday.
Police say they caught McKay in Plainview, just blocks from St. Pius where he allegedly stole cash from two donation boxes.

Police now say McKay also took cash from donation boxes at St. Catherine of Sienna in Franklin Square, St. Mary's in Roslyn Harbor and twice from St. Dominic's in Oyster Bay.

McKay has been charged with petit larceny.
