Apple fans line up for iPhone 6 on Long Island

Today is a big day for Apple fans!

This morning, the highly anticipated iPhone 6 went on sale and some Long Islanders waited on line all night.

At the Apple store in Manhasset, people were seen lining up overnight waiting for the doors to open.

Viewers sent pictures to News 12 of a huge line outside Smith Haven Mall.

Apple stores across Long Island began selling the new phone at 8 a.m.

The iPhone and iPhone 6 Plus promise larger screens, better processors and battery life.

The phones start at $199 with a service plan.
