News 12 takes behind-the-scenes tour of Roosevelt Field Mall construction

News 12's Danielle Campbell took a behind-the-scenes tour Wednesday of the major redevelopment at the Roosevelt Field Mall.



The mall is currently undergoing a 125,000-square-foot expansion costing more than $100 million.



The new wing, which will feature high-end retailer Neiman Marcus, will take up 100,000 square feet and open in February 2016.



The Food Court at Roosevelt Field will be completely remodeled. The new dining area willing include outdoor seating and high-end eateries with a variety of culinary options.



Roosevelt Field mall says 2,800 construction workers were hired for the project. Officials say hundreds of permanent jobs will also be created.



Construction is expected to be completed in January 2016.
