A firefighter was injured battling a blaze at Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center.
Pictures sent to News 12 show the fire on G Road in Brentwood.
Fire officials say a passerby called 911 when they spotted smoke coming from the building around 6:40 p.m.
Officials say there were two separate fires inside the abandoned building. One firefighter suffered a leg injury.
The fire was put out around 9:40 p.m.
