Nearly 500 families gathered for a family reunion of sorts at a fertility clinic in Woodbury today.

Grateful families gathered at the Gold Coast IVF clinic to reunite with Dr. Steven Palter, the director of the clinic.

Families who attended bonded over their experiences dealing with fertility issues. Many said they were grateful for the help of the clinic and Dr. Palter.

"He really helped us give up the story that something is wrong here," said Kristin Seely, a mother of twins. "Everyone has something different biologically, but there's really nothing wrong. It's just a different path you're taking, and they made it actually enjoyable."

According to recent reports, the clinic has had a success rate as high as 85 percent in certain age groups.
