Third suspect arrested in Baldwin shootout
A third arrest has been made following a shootout in Baldwin, and police say all three suspects may be connected to several recent bank robberies as well as a casino boat heist.
According to police, 57-year-old Paul Henry, of Hempstead, and 20-year-old Akeem Robinson, of Westbury, were arrested Monday after police spotted a car used in area bank robberies. A chase and shootout ensued before the car crashed. All five men ran off, but Robinson and Henry were apprehended a short time later.
Police say a five-man crew was also involved a Freeport casino boat robbery in October. In that case the suspects forced their way onto the boat filled with 350 passengers and made off with an undetermined amount of money.
Two remaining suspects from the manhunt are still at large.
