Baldwin man arrested again for impersonating cop

A Baldwin man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a cop impersonation incident that happened in June.

Paul Dolan was arrested for allegedly posing as a cop outside the Oceanside Motel in June. Police say Dolan approached a 17-year-old female in the parking lot and stated to her that he was a police officer and that she had to get in the vehicle with him. She complied, and the girl was brought back to the motel a short time later, unharmed.

Dolan has served jail time twice, most recently for impersonating a Federal Marshal. He was released on November 7. He was also convicted of posing as a cop to try and gain access to Ground Zero. He served 11 months for that offense. Dolan was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in court December 29.
