LI commuters faced with sloppy conditions with another snowstorm

Long Island commuters were faced with sloppy road conditions Friday for the second snowstorm in one week.

The snow began early in some parts of Long Island and changed over to rain throughout the morning. The snow and rain mixture makes for very slippery conditions on the roads. Crews were out to sand and salt the roads, however drivers should still be cautious.

Some areas of Long Island can expect up to six inches of snow. Many schools were closed or had delayed openings. Residents heading out on the roads should give themselves extra time and pay attention while driving.
