Disadvantaged kids treated to holiday shopping spree in Plainview

The Nassau County Department of Social Services ensured that even underprivileged children on Long Island had a merry Christmas.

Disadvantaged children were treated to a holiday shopping spree at a K-B Toys in Plainview Friday. The children, most of whom are homeless, were allowed the toy of their choice.

Social Services sponsors the trip every year. Long Island businessman and author Eric Aronson provided the funding, marking the kickoff of his DASH Foundation. MTA Long Island provides the transportation to and from the toy store.
