LI malls packed with people giving back some unwanted gifts
Big crowds returned to stores and malls across Long Island Monday.
The parking lot at Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station was packed. Shoppers were carrying bags of unwanted gifts to return or exchange, and they were also hoping to cash in on those after-Christmas sales.
Experts warn those with gifts to return or exchange to do it sooner than later, claiming many stores are tightening their policies this year and racking up restocking fees.
