Co-owner of video store in Brentwood found murdered

The co-owner of a Brentwood video store was found murdered in his office Wednesday.

Police say the other co-owner of Pine Hollow Video Store on Second Avenue opened his shop Wednesday morning to find the body of 55-year-old William Kern lying in a pool of blood. Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy before releasing the cause of death. Kern had been the owner of the video store for 20 years.

Investigators are searching for suspects and motives, and they believe the murderer may have escaped in Kerns 1994 Gray Honda Accord. The car has a rusted top and New York plates numbered CCS8061. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
