Man arrested in Medford for impersonating cop

A 24-year-old man was arrested after police say he impersonated a cop and attempted to pull over a woman in Medford.

Police say Jesse Lunde, of Patchogue, and two accomplices attempted to pull over the 20-year-old woman on Woodside Avenue Thursday night. The victim said a gray sedan equipped with lights and a siren pulled up behind her as she was driving. She said she pulled over, but drove away after seeing three men without badges step out of the car. She also said she heard the men laughing.

The victim drove home and told her parents, who contacted police. Lunde, to whom the gray sedan was registered, was arrested a short time later. Police are still searching for his two suspected accomplices. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
