State calls allegation of abuse at Lake Grove School unfounded

The Office of Children and Family Services has determined the charges of sexual assault at the Lake Grove School for Troubled Kids to be unfounded.

In a letter sent Monday to the parents of the boy claiming he was molested, OFCS reported there was no ?credible evidence? to support the charges. The parents, identified only as Denise and Frank to protect their son, remain convinced the incident took place.

Both Nassau and Suffolk counties will keep its respective kids placed in the school. Senator Charles Schumer (D-New York) has called for a Federal investigation into the matter.
