Funeral held for soldier from Centereach killed in Iraq

Hundreds turned out in Lake Ronkonkoma Friday for the funeral of a soldier from Centereach killed in Iraq.

Staff Sergeant James McNaughton was killed by a sniper in Baghdad on August 2. He is the first member of the NYPD to be killed in the Iraqi conflict.

The 27-year-old is being remembered as a soldier, officer, brother and hero.
