Two men with ties to East Norwich fire department arrested for arson

Police arrested two men who have ties to the East Norwich Fire Department for arson Friday.

In May, there were three fires in East Norwich, Oyster Bay and Roosevelt Park that occurred within three hours of each other. Authorities believe 20-year-old Robert Hurley and 20-year-old Arthur Gladd were responsible for all three fires. Both Hurley and Gladd were East Norwich junior firefighters.

Investigators say the two also torched an Oyster Bay Schools Administration building last week. Hurley is also accused of setting two other fires in 2003.
