Two Long Island families receive their dream homes

Two Long Island families received new homes Saturday courtesy of Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity officials welcomed the Mastellones? and the Van Nostrand families to their new homes in Mastic Beach. The newly constructed houses are right down the block from each either. Both of the families say they are so excited to finally have a place to call home.

The homes cost an average of $75,000 and are build by volunteers. Habitat for Humanity has built 90 homes in the 17 years since they have been in Suffolk County.
