Patchogue babysitter convicted of killing child

A Patchogue mother of six was convicted of murdering a 5-month-old she was babysitting.

Alba Pugo and Eduardo Centano say they are glad that Arelis Mora was convicted for the crime, but say it won?t bring their daughter back. Mora was babysitting Jennifer Centano last October when she died from shaken baby syndrome. Centano says when he went to Mora?s house to pick up his daughter he found her dead inside the baby carrier.

Mora?s attorney maintains that her client is innocent and says there is evidence other people could have killed Jennifer. Mora will be sentenced next month and faces a minimum of 25 years to life.
