No swimming allowed at one East Hampton beach

Beachgoers are being told to stay out of the water at a beach in East Hampton.

Currently, there are no lifeguards on duty at the Two Mile Hollow Beach, which means no one can go swimming. The village began enforcing a no swimming rule after getting a notice of violation from the Suffolk County Health Department.

Officials claim it would be too expensive to hire lifeguards for all the beaches. The Suffolk County Health Department was unavailable for comment.
