Hauppauge family gets fourth miracle after new mom has open heart surgery

A Hauppauge woman is recovering Monday after giving birth to triplets and then undergoing surgery to save her life.

Joe Errante says his wife, who was only 31 weeks into her pregnancy, had to have an emergency Caesarean Saturday to deliver triplets. The delivery quickly turned into a lifesaving effort when doctors at Stony Brook University Hospital had to perform open heart surgery on his wife to repair an aneurism. Errante says the aneurism could have burst at any moment.

Errante says the babies are improving each day and his wife is getting better as well. He adds that the past few days have been hard because his wife is a great mom and he could not imagine life without her.
