Mother, son, girlfriend sentenced in fatal Glen Head jewelry store heist

It was an emotional day in court Friday as the trio involved in a robbery spree that left a Glen Head jeweler dead was sentenced. Christopher Dimeo, 23, was sentenced to life behind bars for the robbery and slaying of Thomas Renison last December. Dimeo's mother, Maryann Taylor, was sentenced to 15 years for driving the getaway car. His girlfriend, Nicole Pearce, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. All three blamed their heroin addictions for their actions and each apologized to the Renison family. Dimeo and Pierce will be transferred to Connecticut where Dimeo faces a potential death sentence and Pierce faces 25 years to life for a double murder and robbery there. Related Stories:
