Suffolk police nab Huntington serial burglar

Business owners in Huntington were relieved to hear that Suffolk police arrested a serial burglar that has hit over a dozen stores in a month.

Police arrested 52-year-old Kenneth Eckhoff, of Huntington Station, after pulling him over for driving suspiciously. Eckhoff tried to flee police but was soon captured. Police connected Eckhoff to the break-ins after finding him in possession of burglary tools.

Eckhoff was charged with DWI, five counts of burglary, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.
