Wicked weather makes for rough return to work, school for Long Islanders
The weather is making for a difficult return to work and school for thousands of Long Islanders Tuesday.
It's wet, windy and dangerous on the roads. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning and wind advisory for the metro area. Snowflakes will mix with the rain later in the afternoon, and parts of the Island could get a slushy inch by Wednesday morning.
Power outages have also been reported across Long Island. LIPA is working to restore power to those areas.
