Candlelight vigil held for East Northport teen killed in car accident

Family and friends turned out Friday to remember an East Northport teen killed in a car accident Thursday.

Police say 17-year-old Jeffrey Connor lost control of the pickup truck he was driving on Bellrose Avenue. Police say the truck flipped onto the driver?s side, skidded, struck a fence and rolled into a parked car across the street. Witnesses say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Connor was captain of his high school baseball team, and friends say he was in the process of applying to colleges. Friends remember Connor as being a caring and dependable person who was always there for anyone who needed him.
